It's a Good Thing I'm So Fat...

Or I think I would blow away today! We had gusts above 60mph and they are supposed to get worse again tonight. Thankfully I don't have to worry about blowing away, I'm too fat to blow anywhere!

My husband is taking up my blogging time, yep, it's allll him! He is still off from work, so now when the kids go to bed, we stay up together to watch tv, or a movie, or whatever. Night time is normally my blogging time. I do enjoy the extra time with hubs, but I miss blogging, too! I have a little bit of time before getting ready for class tonight so thought I would get on here when I could.

SO yeah, he's still off of work. He still hasn't seen a dime because our dumbfuck of a doctor didn't turn in the paperwork. Worker's comp got on his ass about it, and our lawyer called him about it. The geniuses that work in his office just kept saying, "It's on his desk"... and that's all. We are still waiting to hear back from workers. comp to see if they ever got it back. They said they were sending him a letter saying he had 5 days to get it in. Hubs is getting an M.R.I. tomorrow morning and if there is significant damage, the doctor may be hearing from us again **mmmwahahahahahaaaaa*

My Literature class has been going well. I'm enjoying it more than I expected to. I never took the time to appreciate so many great authors. I heart Sylvia Plath!!!!  Next week I start... Algebra. FUck!! I'm sooooo---->oo screwed. I barely passed algebra in high school; I don't know how to do any of that crap!! I think that if someone sat down and explained it to me, hopefully I would understand it, but this is college algebra, I think I'm expected to know how to do some of it, lol. I had to take a math test before I started school, and I guessed on all of the algebra questions; I guess I'm a good guesser or something because I didn't have to take any other kind of math class. I'm soo worried about this class and about failing!!! I have a friend who is going to try to help me, if nothing else, I can always use the math lab at school, but that will be a last resort.

Mmmm, know what this is? Cheese!! Last weekend, my mom and I took the kids to Amish Country, here in Ohio. They have a cheese factory that you can tour. During your tour, you get to taste and buy cheese. Yes, alll sorts of delicious cheese! Garlic cheese, pepperoni cheese, smoked cheese, onion cheese, peanut butter cheese, almost any flavor you can think of. These are two of my faves., Rainbow Sherbet and Chocolate (it's actually a cream cheese fudge), but OMFG it's like heaven for your mouth!! mmmmmmmmmmmmm

October Rust

Does anyone in blog land know where the title of my post came from?? If you know it, I will give you $8357603856!! No, really, I'm broke, so I ain't givin ya shit.. just curious is all!

October is such a busy month for us. All 3 of my kids had birthdays last week. Yes, all three! Thanks to good old birth control (the pill) my twins were born 4 days before my son's first birthday! So, all of my kids' birthdays are in the same week. Just imagine having to buy birthday gifts for THREE kids all at once, especially when your husband is off of work due to being injured and is not receiving worker's comp. yet!? Yep, lots of fun!! We did take them to the zoo on Sunday though and that was fun, but Jesus what happened to me?? After about an hour I was like an old lady that had to stop and sit down every five minutes because of my aching feet! It didn't help that the day before this, my son had his first trip to the local boy scout camp where they were having an adventure day, which meant walking around the entire camp all day long. Ahh well, the kids had fun and I did, too, despite feeling 80 years old.

We are looking for a new family doctor right now. Our other one is such a dumb fuck. He never took x-rays of my husband or anything. Sent him to physical therapy so that THEY could evaluate him (isn't that HIS job?). Physical therapy wasn't helping, so they sent a letter to doc. telling him that they think my husband could have nerve damage and that he needs more extensive testing. Sooo, what does dr. genius do?? Nothing. Decides to send him back to work and send him to pain management. Umm, wait. Isn't pain management like the very last step when there is no help??? In the meantime, we also found out that a few weeks before this, one of the staff members sent a paper to his job saying he could go back to work on September 20 with restrictions, but guess what? They didn't tell HIM! Soo his job was calling him telling him when to come in to work, and he had no clue what they were talking about! My husband got an appointment with an orthopedist who sent him back to work with a lot of restrictions, and said if his shoulder isn't any better in a few weeks, they would do an MRI. Monday he went back to work, and within 3 hours, his left arm was numb and his hand was turning purple! Needless to say, they sent him home, and he has another appointment with his ortho. tomorrow. OH, and there is also a worker's comp. office in with the ortho... he talked to them and the reason he hasn't gotten paid yet is because dr. dumbfuck didn't send them the necessary paperwork! Sooo, he could have been getting paid weeks ago, but dr. dumbassery fuckered it all up!

Ever notice how I say, "Soooo" a lot? I just did. Hmm, odd.

I'm in an introduction to Literature class right now. It's not bad, a lot of reading (duh), but seems like it should be an easy A. I'm just ready to get into the medical classes already.

PHOTO OF THE WEEK
I promised my oldest son that we would make his birthday cake this year, together. Daddy helped decorate the cake. Isn't it a piece of artwork right there? A tree, and some ghosts, and some grave stones that you probably can't make out.. I added the M&Ms, lol. Our son loved it, so that's all that matters!
