School is going great. I love it! I'm finishing up Medical Terminology this week. It wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be. After this class I move on to Business Communications.. ugh, that just sounds sooo boring! *snore*. I still have a lot of boring classes to take yet. I wish I could just skip right into the interesting medical classes.
I've made a change in my work life. I'm still working from home, but instead of being a texting operator, which I grew to hate, I've found something that I love. First, let me back up a bit. The texting job.. ugh, it was soo boring. I worked for a company out of the UK. When I first started working there I made decent money every month, then the exchange rate took a nose dive, which decreased my pay. Then over the summer last year the company decided to decrease everyone's pay due to lack of business. Well, even when business picked up again they never raised the pay back up! Once they lowered the pay I just lost all loyalty to the company, especially after working there for 2 1/2 years. I hated logging in to work and felt like my time was worth more than that. I've been searching for something to at least make up for what I was making, if not more. At the 1st of this month I dove in to freelance writing. I am loving it! I love to write! This month Ive made about the same amount as I did with my other job, but I'm finding more and more companies to write for and think I'm going to do really well with it. I'm just so excited about it! I do have to do some research for articles, but I've actually learned a lot just from researching different things. I'm really happy with this change. It's just not possible for me to work out of the house right now with how the kids' school schedules are because we don't have anyone to watch them during the day and I go to school at night, so I'm glad I have found something that I truly love to do. Writing has always been a passion of mine, so this is just perfect!
This winter is just kicking my ass. January and February has been just horrible with the cold, snow, ice, blah. I hate it! I've had a sinus infection for the last month. I just want spring to get here. I want to have the windows open in the house so we can have some fresh air. I want to be able to go outdoors in just a t-shirt. I want to be able to drive with the windows down. I want the kids to be able to play outside all day. I hate winter! This is just one more reason for us to move to Tennessee some day! They did get some snow this year, but it didn't stay very long at least.
Well, I'm done for now. I'm going to try to take more time to write in here now that I don't have to work constantly. I am able to take a little bit of relaxation time with the freelance gigs! At my other job I had to spend any free time I had working. I never got a break.
